Tea for you and me

Join me on my epic quest to find the best tea ever

Wish list

There are lots of places that haven’t been reviewed on here yet that I would like to go to and this page is a big long list of all those places. If I’ve missed one then you can let me know about it here.

Battery Park Juice Bar
615a Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 9AN
I can’t remember who recommended this one to me, sorry! Although it’s a juice bar it does also serve tea and I’ve got a note that says it’s got very good chocolate brownies. I

Sugarswirlz
Dominions Arcade, Cardiff, Wales
No more information on this place, apart from the fact a woman allegedly attacked the shop and staff when they ran out of her favourite cupcake flavour.

The Hummingbird Bakery
The place credited with bringing the big frosted cupcake to the UK. I can’t quite believe I haven’t made it to one yet, but am hoping to soon.

The Tea Bar, Tregothnan Estate
The Tregothnan Estate in Cornwall grows tea and at The Tea Bar you can have an afternoon tea with their English grown tea. I’d also like to take a look round the plantation.

Tea and Sympathy
This is in New York, so it’s unlikely that I can get there anytime soon, but it’s going on here anyway. If I ever do get to New York then I’m going to need proper tea while I’m there – Tea and Sympathy looks like it could fulfill my tea needs.

Laughing Man coffee and tea company
Another cafe in New York, this time co-founded by Hugh Jackman.

The Athenaeum Hotel
Winner of the Tea Guild’s Top London Afternoon Tea Award in 2012. I want to go here because they serve crumpets as part of the afternoon tea.

Richmond Tea Rooms
Confusingly this is in Manchester, not Richmond, but Rosie contacted me to say that she loved it, thought it was great value and couldn’t wait to go back.

  3. I feel the same about Tea and Sympathy, if I’m ever in New York I very much want to pop in there. I haven’t heard of most of the others, only the Hummingbird one. The Cornish one sounds great, I’d love to visit that, too. This is probably an impossible question, but do you have an all-time favourite tearoom?
